The remarkable and long overdue true story of Harriet Tubman, who fled her slave plantation in 1849, walking over 100 miles North to freedom.

Hailing from Stockwell, London, Cynthia Erivo (Widows, Bad Times at the El Royale) shines as the inspiring Tubman. Harriet’s long walk to freedom is just the start of her extraordinary story.

Helping Harriet on her harrowing journey are Marie Buchanon (played by the multi-talented singer and actress, Janelle Monáe) and William Still (Leslie Odom Jr., the Tony award-winning actor in Broadway’s Hamilton).

Director and co-writer Kasi Lemmons redefines the previously told ‘slave story’ narrative to reflect the truly unbelievable nature of Harriet’s bravery, determination and relentless vision of an America free of slavery.

With epic, action-packed drama, you will be left on edge as Harriet faces terrifying obstacles and a nationwide bounty hunt led by her slave owner Gideon Brodess (Joe Alwyn – The Favourite). Taking almost three decades to reach the screen, Harriet is the heroic biopic Harriet Tubman deserves.
