A wonderfully spirited documentary celebrating an icon of female empowerment.

At age 85, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has developed a breath-taking legacy in a male-dominated world. From being one of only a handful of women in a class of hundreds of men at Harvard Law School, to her ground-breaking wins against gender inequality and becoming only the second ever woman appointed to the Supreme Court, she has truly rattled history.

The portrayal is pieced together from interviews, public appearances and archival material which together illuminate her accomplishments as well as her temperament. Her phenomenal work is wonderfully juxtaposed to her soft-spoken character, and more candid scenes shed light on the personal aspects of her life. It provides insight on the role of her late husband, one of her biggest supporters, and even her workout routine.

With not one but two female directors (Betsy West and Julie Cohen), the documentary is perfectly timed with the current world wide discussion around the importance of female empowerment, as well as the upcoming Ginsburg biopic, coming out in early 2019, On the Basis of Sex starring Felicity Jones as RBG.
