This is your mission, should you choose to accept it. Fallout is the sixth film in the Mission Impossible film series, since Tom Cruise became the face of the brand. Rogue Nation was praised for breathing new life into the story, and this film looks set to continue that.

Things are unravelling for the IMF (Impossible Missions Force, not the International Monetary Fund) as a very dangerous prisoner, Solomon Lane (played by the always creepy Sean Harris) escapes. Ethan Hunt (Cruise) knows that Lane must be stopped, as he poses a grave threat to global security. But as the title suggests, the CIA begin to question his motives and loyalty. This also pits him against friends, particularly Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson), and he meets his match in fellow operative, August Walker (Henry Cavill).

Thankfully, Simon Pegg also rejoins Cruise and Ferguson. And, as well as Cavill, Alec Baldwin and Vanessa Kirby also join the A-list cast. Not to mention director Christopher McQuarrie, who wrote and directed the previous Mission Impossible.

This is his fifth collaboration with Cruise, after Valkyrie, Edge Of Tomorrow and Jack Reacher.

All together now: dun, dun, dun-dun, dun, dun….
