The time has come to put on your best pink clothes and come to see the most iconic and quotable teen comedy film ever made.

Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan), has just moved to the suburbs of Illinois after being home-schooled by her parents in Africa. In her first experience of public school, she quickly is flung into the cruel world of popularity and the tight-knit cliques that form around it.

She unwittingly finds herself part of the most elite group in the school, nicknamed The Plastics, played fantastically by Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, and Lacey Chabert. As they’re nickname suggests, they spend their time manipulating each other and concerning themselves over how they look, with little brain power between the three of them.

SNL and 30 Rock star Tina Fey in part based the screenplay off of Queen Bees and Wannabes:  Helping Your Daughter Survive Cliques, Gossip, Boyfriends and Other Realities of Adolescence by the youth councillor Rosalind Wiseman, using examples from the book Tina exaggerates them to hilarious effect.

While fetch still might not be a thing, it’s not too late to give it a try!
