Celebrate the New Year in style with a 50s rock ‘n’ roll Classic!

This extravagant comedy features Jane Mansfield as Jerri Jordan, a blonde bombshell and girlfriend to hefty hoodlum Marty “Fats” Murdock (Edmond O’Brien). When the old-time gangster approaches has-been agent Tom Miller (Tom Ewell) and asks him to make her a musical sensation. Hilarity ensues as it becomes clear she cannot sing a note!

Renowned director Frank Tashlin’s roots as a cartoonist for powerhouse Warner Brothers and Disney are used to enhance the comic and visual aspect of amusing scenes with almost slapstick humour, whilst maintaining the film’s satirical attack on the popular music industry of its time.

This cinematic gem has withstood the test of time primarily through the rare opportunities it gives to savour many of the most enjoyable rock n roll performers of its era, filmed by talented craftsmen in settings that amplify and complement their sound.

With appearances from Fats Domino, Little Richard, Ray Anthony, Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent, The Platters and Julie London, this is a musical masterpiece that cannot be missed!

One of The Beatles earliest musical influences, according to Paul McCartney, he and John Lennon were underage when the film was released, and sneaked into the cinema by wearing fake moustaches to make themselves look older.
