Francis Ford Coppola’s timeless epic comes blazing onto the Odyssey screen in a brand new remaster for its 40th anniversary.
During the height of the Vietnam war, U.S. Army Captain Willard (Martin Sheen) is sent to carry out a mission that ‘doesn’t exist, nor will it ever exist’. His mission is to seek out and eliminate a rogue Green Beret, Colonel Walter E. Kurtz (Marlon Brando) who the army believe has gone insane.
Willard travels up river into the heart of the jungle with a small platoon of soldiers (including Laurence Fishburne as Tyrone ‘Clean’ Miller - who lied about his age in order to get the role and was only 14 when filming started), but as the mission escalates he finds himself consumed by the horrors of war.
Restored from the original negative for the first time ever, it looks better than it has ever looked and sounds better than it has ever sounded. Apocalypse Now: The Final Cut is Coppola's most realised version of his multi-awarded classic - a haunting journey into madness that has fascinated generations of movie lovers.
