Following the world-altering events of Avengers: Endgame, all Peter Parker (Tom Holland) wants is to enjoy a school-trip around Europe with his classmates and get to know Mary-Jane (Zendaya) better.

However, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), wants Spidey under his wing to face a looming threat from a parallel universe. Tracking him down, Fury introduces Iron Man’s protegée to Quentin Beck (Jake Gyllenhaal), the master of illusion also known as Mysterio. Beck and Fury require Spider-Man’s help to stop the Elementals, a mighty force who have found their way to Earth. Despite his recent loss, Spidey has no choice but to get back into the swing of things.

With filming largely taking place in Hertfordshire, lead actor Tom Holland really was our friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man – he was spotted in the Maltings! With reports that Matt Damon turned down the role of Mysterio, Gyllenhaal is an exciting addition to the franchise - after almost playing Peter Parker in Spider-Man 2 when Tobey Maguire sustained an injury.

Holland has brought a wonderful vitality to many people’s favourite superhero, and Far From Home looks set to be another winner from the MCU.
